Faction Roleplay Improvement - Simon. - 06-19-2026 Faction Roleplay Improvement Roughly a month ago, we as Faction Management have decided to take an approach towards overall roleplay improvement within factions. Factions are a major aspect in this roleplay community and have the ability to initiate roleplay in almost all situations. With that, we are posting this clarification to officially inform on our roleplay improvement plan. No one will be administratively punished for not roleplay advisories, however, it is the direct responsibility as faction leaders and members to follow and encourage faction roleplay improvement. Roleplay Binds Roleplay binds should not be used. Command binds such as (/m, /badge, etc.) are still allowed. We have disallowed roleplay binds as they remove the authenticity from roleplay. Medics and Officers should be hand-typing roleplay to their utmost ability even if it results in shorter and less complex roleplay. You will not be prisoned for using roleplay binds. Training and Recruitment divisions should be prioritizing the knowledge of basic law enforcement and medic procedures so that roleplay binds are not necessary. Each faction has their own roleplay standards and levels. The general basis is that authentic roleplay should be encouraged by leaders and members. Charge Binds Law Enforcement Officers should not be using charge binds. As we have clarified this several times and they are still prevalent, using charge binds will be considered non-roleplay behavior and will result in a 20 minute admin jail if used excessively; at judgement of the resolving administrator. Charge binds are an easy way to accidentally false charge or charge stack a suspect. They break roleplay as charges are not instantly placed upon a suspect. Training and Recruitment divisions should be prioritizing the knowledge and application of charges. Leaders should not be encouraging the use of charge binds. Thank you, Faction Management |
