Welcome to the Los Santos Fire & Medical Department! If you’re reading this, you’ve taken the first step toward becoming a paramedic or firefighter. This guide is here to make sure you know everything you need to get started, like how to respond to emergencies, handle patients, work with your team, and navigate your role in the department.
It might feel like a lot at first, but don’t worry, kiddo, we’ve all been there. Take your time, ask questions, and most importantly, enjoy the experience. At the end of the day, it’s all about helping people and having fun while doing it, but remember not to ruin the fun of others for your fun.
KEY GUIDELINES
1. The main duty of you as a trainee is to save as many patients as you can to become a paramedic. You must take both your trainings and pass the exam within a 10 days time period.
2. (( You must be on our faction discord where you must have LSFMD & Trainee Role ))
3. (( Make sure you know the proper usage of all the commands, check department handbook for the full list of commands. ))
4. (( Don't auto-skip patients if they are not responding. Hit one single roleplay line of loading them using /me or /do then only go for /loadpt. ))
5. (( Don't enter point bounds. They're only for gangs. ))
6. Medics are not allowed to shoot anyone on turf, nor can someone shoot them either.
7. Do not assist wanted criminals and always try to cooperate with LSPD, SASD, FBI, or ARES.
DEPARTMENT POLICIES
1. Uniform Policy: Trainees are only allowed to wear the Green Shirt Uniform (M) & Green Shirt Uniform (F).
2. Vehicle Policy: Trainees are only allowed to drive the ambulance.
3. Communication Policy: Trainees are not allowed to use department radio((/d)) unless they are permitted to.
4. Chain of Command Policy: For any kind of queries regarding training or exams, trainees first focus on asking Human Resource Personnel and then the other trainees or paramedics.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. How can I rank up to Paramedic?
To become a paramedic, you must do all of your trainings and then ace your paramedic exam - all within 10 days.
2. How can I get training?
Contact HR Personnel via #training-office or contact them in-game using /members.
3. How can I access different vehicles, such as Maverick or Rancher?
Every vehicle is restricted to a divison or rank. As a trainee, you can only use the ambulance.
4. How can I join divisions?
You need to be at least a paramedic to be part of a division. Reach out to a division commander for guidance once you are.
5. Can I work different jobs found in /findjob as LSFMD?
No, you need to be off-duty to do other jobs.
6. How do I go off-duty?
You can request for a 10-7 via radio from any of your seniors+ available.
7. What if I fail the exam on the first attempt?
You can take the exam again, but if you fail it again, you will be terminated.
