It's a quite old video but still very effective for high speed pursuits, we advise you to watch, learn and practice. Don't hesitate to contact the Field Training Officers to assist you with the training, it's a good way to improve your performance and skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION

(( Policies and Procedures:

- As a cadet, you may not respond to situations, the only exception is when you're patrolling with another officer.

- You may use the department radio to call for assistance and communicate with other departments about anything that is relevant as long as you're an Officer or above, Cadets may use the department radio to call for backup only.

- If any other department wants to communicate with our department, allow someone from the HC to answer it (Chief > Assistant > Captain > Lieutenant > Sergeant) respectively, if none of them are available, you may respond.

- Remain respectful all the time when speaking to other officers, agencies or civilians, act in a professional way and try to avoid misunderstandings.

- If a suspect is wanted, you may immediately taze him without giving a warn.

- Make sure to detain the suspect quickly when there's a group of people standing around you, they could be just a group of curious citizens or some people waiting for the perfect moment to open fire against you. Let's not give them a chance to do so, right? Be smart and effective.

Using your radio

- Do not interrupt when someone's updating, if you need to report something which is not urgent, use the radio chat.

- Shootouts are and will always be our priority as they're much more dangerous than a simple traffic stop. If there's someone updating a 10-26 or 10-80 and a shootout begins, the officer involved in the shootout will have the primary to speak about the situation.

- Always use your radio to update situations, even if it's just a simple traffic stop on someone driving a sweeper.

- Don't hesitate to call for assistance, we're much stronger when we are working together and as a team. If you've heard the information that someone is FM5 for example, use your department radio to notify other agencies and get their support.

- Please avoid speaking about irrelevant information in RTO, you could be disturbing other officers when they're trying to focus.

- When it comes to shootouts, you need to respond immediately if someone has called for backup (/backup) and updated a location, if they just said 'Shoots fired.' you can easily use your detective job and /find the officer who called for assistance, please avoid asking questions like "What's the beacon?" "How much is 10 plus 5?" "Martin, can you respawn cars?" etc, if you don't know who called for backup, you may download  and it will show you in-game who's currently speaking. That means, if an officer is currently involved in a shootout, you should allow him to focus on the shootout, if he's no longer in danger or feels comfortable to update while shooting, then he can update and give you detailed information about what's going on, but avoid asking questions.

Responding to situations:

- If an officer is currently on a 10-80 and only requested one additional unit for assistance, the first one who responds with a "10-76" is allowed to respond, we don't need ten units for some guy driving a tampa.

- A simple "10-76" is enough, you don't have to tell a story about your life when you're responding.

- Pay attention to the backup calls and 911 calls, answer them, if you're responding to another agency, notify them by using your department radio or get your partner to do that.


Pursuits

- Be organized, do not interrupt another officer if he's attempting a 10-62.

- Listen carefully to the update, try to use barricades or spikes to immobilize the suspect's vehicle.

- If you're currently chasing a most wanted or a FM5 suspect, advise your partner to open fire and disable the vehicle and if you get the chance, taze the suspect so we can avoid going to the hospital to catch him. (DON'T RUSHTAZE!!!!!)


Pulling over truckers

- If a trucker is currently delivering illegal goods (materials, weapons or narcotics) you may detain the suspect and charge him for distribution of illegal weapons (for materials and weapons) or distribution of illegal narcotics (drugs).

- You may not issue a ticket to a trucker if it's a "routine traffic stop", he shouldn't be punished for doing his job. However, if he was reckless driving you have the option to issue a ticket or let him go with a warning.

Question: Yo Martin, can I rush to the airport and deliver a most wanted?
Answer: If you have the suspect detained, you're not being shot at and LSI is clear with no suspects waiting for you there, you may.

Question: I've been in PD for ages, never did anything wrong, I'm very active and still haven't got a promotion. What am I doing wrong and what do I have to do to be promoted?
Answer: If you're being active and doing the job properly you should be promoted very soon. Officers who communicate well and report situations will obviously get more attention from the high command. There are some positions which require leadership abilities, some people can lead and some can't, if we notice we can use you to be a member of the high command, we'll contact you.

Question: Do I have to roleplay /frisk? What about ooc frisk?
Answer: Yes, you do. You need to always give the player a chance to respond to your roleplay, we do have a few exceptions for /detain and /cuff, but if the player is roleplaying resistance, you must roleplay accordingly. There is no such thing called "ooc frisk" and you get can get prisoned for powergaming if you do not roleplay frisking someone.

Question: I just saw an officer driving a Sultan. Can I drive it too?
Answer: We have fast cars in the garage for high speed pursuits only, because it's not an easy task to catch up with an Infernus using a regular police cruiser. You need to be a member of Traffic Enforcement to drive these cars or have permission from Captain or above.

Question: Cadets can not respond to situations when they're not with another officer or on MPS duty, okay, but what if I witness a shootout?
Answer: Call for assistance, keep a safe distance and wait for additional units to arrive before taking any action. You're still learning to become an officer, it wouldn't be safe to make decisions on your own yet, just report the situation and the suspect's description to the dispatch.

Question: Can you respawn cars, Martin?
Answer: I can, but Captains and the Assistant can do it too! Feel free to ask them too as our suggestion to make /respawnfreefactionvehs available for Lieutenants isn't implemented yet. If they aren't available, /report for an administrator.

Question: Shit, someone logged to avoid arrest and I only got a screenshot. What can I do?
Answer: Post a roleplay or send it to me on discord if I'm available.

Question: Someone just walked in the garage when I opened the gate. What should I do?
Answer: Tell him to leave, if he doesn't comply, arrest him for trespassing and failure to comply.

Question: MDC is not working, Martin. How do I check someone's criminal record or which members are in our department?
Answer: You may access the ucp  to have access to criminal record, member's list, phonebook and some other informations about your character

Question: How do I check if someone's wanted for debt?
Answer: It's a difficult situation. You're gonna have to check the UCP, type the suspect's name and check if he has committed any crime recently, because when someone's wanted for debt, random charges will be added to his name in /mdc but the UCP will show if any charges were recently added or not. Let's say you're arresting someone on February 8th and his last charge was on January 11th, he could've not played during all this period (which is rare) or he could be in debt, you can also /report for an administrator to check his total wealth and see if he's in debt or not. Currently we're trying to get a script which will show 'Debt' charge in the /mdc so you don't have to go through this process.

Question: I got a suspect wanted for debt in custody, he never showed any resistance and I've found nothing illegal on him. Should I release him?
Answer: It's up to you, but I would release him. Our department should be focusing on criminals who have committed offenses like attempted murder, reckless driving, possession of illegal firearms, etc and not on some poor guy who lost a few dicebets.

Rights, Detaining and Using the MDC
Once cuffed, read the suspect the Miranda rights and explain why they're being detained or arrested. The suspect has the right to remain silent and the right to contact a Lawyer once processed. Detain the suspect in the back seat of the police car. You should not detain anyone in the front seat such as a Police Ranger, Bullet or Police Bike. Once you're safely at the HQ, ask the suspect for their name and check the MDC. You should confirm who they say they are, and check for any current charges. If the suspect uses their right to remain silent, You can skip this part and get their name later.



Frisking, Confiscating and adding Charges
Remove the suspect from the vehicle and frisk them for any weapons or narcotics and confiscate anything you find. Only charge for anything illegal found. If you have not obtained their name, You should also frisk for a license with their name on. This method can also be used when frisking a downed suspect as this is quicker than using a fingerprint scanner. Always check the MDC before adding charges as you may accidentally add the same charge for a second time. Also be aware of what similar charges are considered charge stacking.

Initiating the Stop
To get a vehicle to pull over, activate the lights and sirens and follow the vehicle until it pulls over and stops. If it fails to stop, use one of the secondary options such as /M. When the vehicle has stopped, park behind and angled to the LEFT. This will force traffic away from you when you are speaking with the driver. Use the megaphone and order the driver to turn off the engine and remain inside the vehicle.



Calling in over the Radio
You should call in over the radio to explain your current situation incase you need backup. You should give your rank and last name to identify yourself. Then, the 10-Code of what you are doing, which in this case is a 10-26. Then, your location by giving the neighbourhood you're in or a landmark. Then, the vehicle description, license plate and the number of occupants. Lastly, Your status, which would be code two for assistance, code three for backup, or code four no assistance or backup.



Checking the Driver
You may now approach the driver. You should be able to see if the window is down or not. If it's up, role play knocking on the window until they type /CAR WINDOW. You should introduce yourself with your rank, last name, and agency you're with. Then, ask for the drivers license and vehicle registration. Once you have these, Remind the driver to remain in the vehicle, then walk back to your cruiser to use the /MDC.



Using the Mobile Data Computer
Open the MDC, then go to Civilian Information, and then Check Record, and enter the drivers name. Check for any current warrants. If you find any, this would then turn into a felony stop. If it's clear, check if they have any previous crimes. Anything such as attempted murder, possession of firearms or evading, you may want to call for assistance code two as they may attempt this again. If it's anything non-violent like drug possession, you can proceed with the traffic stop alone.



Concluding the Investigation
If everything is normal, you can return to the driver and proceed with the traffic stop. Inform the driver why they were stopped and ask if they have an explanation. It is then up to do what action you take. If the driver has a reasonable excuse or apologizes for their actions, You can let them go with a warning. If they have no excuse, Write the reason down on a citation and give it to them. If they refuses the citation, You can arrest them for whatever the reason was for the traffic stop. For example, jailed for 1 minute, but given a $50 fine for speeding. If they are unable to pay a ticket, Issue it on their vehicle instead and they can pay it later at the DMV. Once you are finished, Give the driver their license and registration back, and tell them they're free to go. Make sure the driver leaves before you turn your back and walk back to the cruiser.

Using caution with the Suspect
Felony Stops are when dealing with wanted suspects or someone we know for sure will be detained. In a Traffic Stop, we investigate why someone has broken the law to decide what action to take. In a Felony Stop, there is no need for an investigation and we are detaining them regardless. You must still use lights and sirens to pull the vehicle over as well as use your radio to call in your current situation. You must be parked twice as far back than a Traffic Stop. Use the megaphone and order the driver to turn off the engine and then throw the keys out the window. You should also call for backup code 3. You may then exit your police car stand behind the door. This is for your own protection incase the suspect is armed and tries to shoot or kill you. You will be far enough away and behind cover to avoid being shot as well as have enough time to react and shoot back.




Detaining the Driver - Part #1
Have your Taser in hand. If you know for sure the suspect has a firearm, then have your firearm in hand. Otherwise, follow the force matrix and use your taser first. If you have a partner, or backup, they should have their firearm in hand. Use the megaphone and order the driver to exit the vehicle and face away from you. You should be able to see if they have any weapons in their hands. If they have something in their hand, tell them to drop it and kick it under the vehicle. If their hands are empty, tell the driver to turn around and take a few steps forward, then tell them to stop. They should be half way between both their own car and your police car. If the suspect exits the car and runs, you should taser them. If the suspect exits the car and opens fire, your backup will shoot back.



Detaining the Driver - Part #2
Now that it's safe, You should move forward and handcuff the driver. You should be directly behind the suspect with your taser holstered so that the suspect cannot grab it from you. If you have backup with a firearm, they should be to the RIGHT of the suspect to avoid accidentally hitting you by mistake should the suspect open fire.

PURSUIT UPDATES

Hello,

It has come to my attention to address the issue of officers not knowing to update or simply improve their updating skills. From videos of other people's game I have seen, I don't even see custom maps being installed so that updating would become easier for the pursuing officer. This guide has been created to aid or teach officers of updating.

Updating is an essential skill every officer must master. It describes the location and state of the chase they have partaken in. This allows for more units to pinpoint the exact location of the chase, and act accordingly whether that be by executing pursuit intervention tactics (P.I.T.).

This video I have created will go over tips and tricks of updating situations.

Tips:

- Be sure to use familiar or common places so officers can get a better picture of your location.
- Use a map mod so that you know the specific location you are at that moment.
- Describe the street names, as well as the direction of travel. Ex. South
- As a reminder, you should ALWAYS deploy a beacon in a chase as it could overlook your poor/insufficient updating.
- If you already have a map mod installed but cannot see the streets, try to install a mod that enlarges your map hud.

Hello,

Follow the following rules; (( These are few rules you must know about Castille and you must follow these rules, failure doing and you might end up in admin jail or you fall for IC corruption please read the following rules carefully.))

[X] - If you got caught releasing any suspect from castille you will be immediatey terminated from the Police Department with no discussions.

[X] - (( If you go to Castille just to punch criminals and kill them for no reason you will be prisoned for non-roleplay behavior and DM )).

[X] - If you want to take a lawyer to Castille you must take a commanding officer with you and you should announce it on the department radio.

[X] - Anyone that enters the radius of castille can be shot on sight.

[X] -If a criminal escapes from Castille you don't have to get him in cuffs you can kill him as he is FM5.

[X] - If you want to go to Castille inform the highest command in service, because you will look suspicious if you don't.

REASSIGNMENTS

What is a Reassignment?
Reassignment means an appointment to a different post or role. The main purpose of a reassignment is to keep our officers organized and productive, but reassignments can also be called for special occasions like making an announcement or when there is an event about to happen. Reassignments can be hosted by Sergeants (r3) or above. Before a reassignment happens, it will be announced by dispatch and can look something like this:

** Dispatch: Reassignment at 10-19. **

Preparing For a Reassignment
Heading to 10-19
Once a reassignment has been called in by dispatch, unless you are in an active situation, finish whatever you are doing, repair your vehicle and head to 10-19. Make sure your vehicle is at 1000 health before you park it to its designated spot. An alternative to this is to blow up your vehicle by either repeatedly ramming it into a wall or having somebody shoot it for you, but make sure you do this away from other officers so they won't take any damage.

Gearing up
Once you have correctly parked your vehicle, you will have to ensure you have at least the following equipment:

• MP5 (150$).
  
• Deagle (free).
  
• Nightstick (free).
  
• Full armor (free).
  
• Full health (free).
  

Attending a reassignment without proper equipment may result in you getting a strike.

Lining up
Once you have all the required equipment, head to the reassignment line and stand on the part of the line corresponding to your rank (as shown below).

You must line up shoulder to shoulder with your colleagues, do "/crossarms 1" animation and hold out your nightstick, then wait for further instructions from the person hosting the reassignment

The Reassignment
Once everyone has made it to 10-19 and are lined up on the line, the reassignment may begin. The reassignment itself is composed of four main segments.

1. Teamspeak check
The person hosting the reassignment will do a Teamspeak check on everyone to ensure that they are in the Central Dispatch channel and that their microphone is working properly. The host will start calling out everyone's names from left to right. Once you hear your name being called out, answer 10-2*. If you did not hear the host clearly, answer 10-1** and the host will repeat him or herself.

* 10-2 (Transmitting clearly)
* 10-1 (Transmitting poorly)

2. Speech (optional)
This is optional but the host may give a speech about something. This could be them giving you tips, letting you know what you did right or wrong, what you should look out for etc. This could also be an announcement from the host. Be sure not to interrupt the person hosting the reassignment during his or her speech and only speak when you are given permission to. Interrupting the host of the reassignment may result in you getting a strike.

3. Roll call
This is where the person hosting the reassignment will assign everyone to their vehicles. The host will first ask cadets if they want to go on MPS duty or 10-16*. If the cadet wishes to go on MPS duty he will go grab a Tow Truck and park it to the special area (as shown in the picture below) for the time being. If the cadet wishes to go 10-16, the host will ask the cadet to stand behind an officer he wishes to patrol with. Once the cadets have been assigned, the host will then assign officers and above. Members of HSIU and SWAT can decide if they want to use their division vehicles or standard vehicles. If you want to use your division vehicle, you will have to drive it to the special area for the time being. Members of GD will be assigned to cruisers one by one. If there are plenty of LSPD members online, the host will assign everyone to cruisers in pairs of two. If you want to use a HPV-1000 or Police Maverick, announce it to the host when he or she calls your role, but be sure to use the respective skin when driving these vehicles. Sergeants or above can decide if they want to use the Ranger for supervisory duties and Lieutenants or above can decide if they want to drive the LVPD cruiser.

4. Updating and rolling out
Once everyone is in their assigned vehicle, the person hosting the reassignment will ask everyone to update and roll out one by one. Do not update and roll out unless you are told to do so. The people in special vehicles like Tow Trucks and HSIU cars are told to update and roll out first, after they have rolled out it is time for the cruisers to update and roll out and after they have rolled out it is time for HPV-1000, LVPD cruisers and Rangers to update and roll out. The first unit to roll out will open both the garage gate and the front gate, the last unit to roll out will be the one closing them. Remember not to close the gate on someone behind you.

You can update going on-duty/off-duty on either "/r" or Teamspeak. When updating going on-duty on Teamspeak, be sure not to interrupt a more important message, for an example if someone is updating a 10-80. In this case, you can update going on-duty with "/r".

Here are some examples of updating:
** Cadet John Doe: Cadet Doe, 10-41 10-8 from 10-19, citywide, over. **
** Cadet John Doe: Cadet Doe, going on HPV duty from 10-19. **
** T.E Officer John Doe: Officer Doe, 10-41 10-8 from 10-19, citywide, over. **
** T.E Officer John Doe: Officer Doe, 10-7 10-42, safe shift. 10-10 over. **

Once you are on-duty, remember to always stay professional and respond to backup calls.
